Analysis and Best Bets
Chicago is getting hot at the right time. They are winners of three straight including wins over the Celtics and Hornets, two Eastern Conference playoff teams. They find themselves with a big challenge as they face the 2nd place Brooklyn Nets featuring Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. The Bulls are 11th in the East, 2.5 GB of the Wizards for the last play-in spot. Chicago will basically need to win all of their remaining games coupled with some Wizards losses. There’s still a chance.
The Vooch-LaVine duo is in full swing and Bulls Nation is seeing the great potential of these two stars. Vooch put up another double-double (29 points and 16 rebounds), LaVine scored 30, and a blazing hot Coby White added 21 points in a win against Detroit on Sunday. Brooklyn is a different beast, so Chicago will need better bench production from guys like Lauri Markkanen. Troy Brown Jr. and Daniel Theis are both questionable, and if one of them can play, it will provide a huge boost to the Bulls bench.
The Nets will be without star James Harden for at least another game and Bruce Brown is questionable. The load will fall on stars Kyrie Irving (27.4 PPG and 6.2 AST) and Kevin Durant (28.2 PPG, 7.1 REB, 5.2 AST) but that shouldn’t be a problem for these two. However, Brooklyn has lost four of their last five games.
I’m going to pick up a couple of bets for tonight as the season is coming to an end. Here they are:
- OVER 29.5 Points and Rebounds for Zach LaVine (-120)
- OVER 20.5 Points and Assists for Coby White (-125)
