The Lucas Giolito & James McCann duo helped us cash two underdog picks last night and ultimately eclipse the $1,000 profit mark on the season. Giolito went 6.0 IP allowing only two earned runs on 6 hits and 3 walks. McCann collected 4 RBI’s on one swing of the bat when he smashed a grand slam in the 8th inning, capping off a 3-4 night for him. The only thing that matters from a betting perspective is what we do next, so let’s corral another W tonight because it is #WinnersOnlySaturday.
Money Line: LAA -160, CWS +150
Run Line: LAA -1.5 (+110), CWS +1.5 (-130)
Over/Under: 10 (-110)
First Pitch: 8:07 CST, Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Anaheim, CA
Chicago White Sox
Oh brother… I don’t know who made the decision to let Hector Santagio back into the clubhouse but he will take the ball for our White Sox tonight. The lefty owns a 7.11 ERA on the season to go along with his 1-1 record and 1.89 WHIP. Santiago picks up his second start of the season with the Sox since they played a double header earlier in the week. Offensively, the Sox put up 7 runs for back to back games and did so by notching 10 hits.
Los Angeles Angels
Jose Suarez gets the nod for Brad Ausmus’ club tonight. He has not been great so far this season. He sits at 2-4 on the year with an ERA of 6.57. He has given up 14 runs over his last three starts. Those outings have lasted a combined 12.1 innings. They always say a good WHIP is around 1.20 or under. Well, this dude gives up 1.14 runs per inning. The Sox should tee off on this lefty. Mike Trout hit his 41st homerun last night but other than that, the Angels lineup was essentially silenced thanks to Lucas Giolito.
Analysis & Prediction
My first thought was hammer the Angels tonight since Santiago is getting the start for the Sox. After further research, Suarez has not been good either as of late and we can combine that with the Sox hitting lefties at a really good split. The move tonight is on the over. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Angels cover the over by themselves considering the Santiago factor plus the Sox used Bummer and Marshall last night out of the bullpen. Let’s take the over on 10 tonight at -110.
Trent’s Record on White Sox Free Picks
32-24-3 (+10.16 Units). A $100 bettor would be up $1,016 on the MLB Season.
