It’s the rubber match from beautiful Guaranteed Rate Field as the Indians and White Sox go head to head and each try to win the series. Thanks to a Tim Anderson grand slam yesterday, the Sox picked up the win and held pace with the Royals in the standings. Kansas City is 16-9 on the season and you’ll see the second and third ranked teams’ records below. Let’s dive into this matchup and get a win! I’ve gone cold over the last week but this is a new month so let’s turn it around.

Final Analysis & Best Bet

Yada, yada, yada… we all know that Cleveland’s bats are abysmal, the White Sox’ sticks are great, and this series will come down to timely hitting and whoever’s on the bump. So let’s skip the team previews and get right into the action.

I will say that if you’ve been keeping up with my preview this season then I have not been practicing proper bankroll management. I’ve been all over the place with my unit sizes and that’s partially the reason why we’re at this deficit (see below). But there’s still a lot of ball left this season and with the way we’ve been firing, there’s no use going back to “one-unit bets” at this point. It’s basically like 1.5 units is the new unit size. Just needed to throw that in there for clarification and #transparency.

We’re going with the White Sox on the money line today (-162) for two units. The White Sox are slashing .290/.345/.526 against Plesac and have clubbed four homers. This will be the third time that Plesac has faced the southsiders this season and they’ve put up six earned runs in each of the matchups. Look for the hot bats to continue as the Sox break out the Sunday classics and continue to climb up in the standings. Lucas Giolito hasn’t been his normal self this season but he faced the Tribe back on 4/13/21 and held them to only three hits over 7.0 IP so I feel confident in this pick. Don’t overthink it, the Sox are hot and should take this one.

Trent’s MLB Betting Record

2021 MLB Season: 14-14 (-3.58 units). A $100 bettor is down $357.91 this MLB szn.
