The boys are packed, on the plane, and currently en route to the big H to catch some Saturday A.L. West baseball between the Angels and Astros. You can cach Hector and I in the Crawford Boxes this afternoon if you’re able to watch the game and you know we’re going to sprinkle a few bucks on this action. Here’s where we’re laying out cash this afternoon.

Trent’s Analysis & Best Bet

After going on a 13-2 run I’ve now dropped two straight bets so I’m looking to bounce back as we head to the Yeehaw state. And we should be in for a thriller with the ‘Stros looking to pick up their third straight win in the series. They won in walkoff fashion yesterday thanks to a clutch pinch-hit single from Robel Garcia in the 10th last night after battling back from a 4-2 in the extra frame.

I’m going to take the over on 9 runs (-115) for 1.5 units. Hector will get into Odorizzi’s stats below but this guy stinks. He’s given up 9 earned runs over his two starts since coming to Houston and he’s in for a test today. The Angels boast the 2nd ranked BABIP against RHP at .328 and 6th best wOBA at .327. We know how dangerous this lineup can be and I think they’re going to strike today. I’m also going to play the Angels ML (+132) for a unit. Basically for the reasons above and while the Astros are a good team, they’re still without Jose Altuve. Sit back and enjoy. Let’s hope for a barn burner that ends in the Angels favor. I’m looking forward to catching a bomb in the Crawford Boxes – hopefully from Trout, if he plays. Happy #WinnersOnlySaturday!

Hector’s Analysis & Best Bet

The Angels bats will be going up against Jake Odorizzi. This will be his 3rd start of the year and he has struggled to say the least. He is 0-2 with a 10.57 ERA and a WHIP of 1.70. I’m hoping Mike Trout will be back in the lineup after being a late scratch last night after getting hit by a pitch on Thursday. If Trout is back in the lineup, the offense will have a nice boost to it. For my best bet I’m taking over 4 Angels runs at -115. After looking at Odorizzi’s numbers, he’s not great and the Angels will look to bounce back after suffering an extra innings loss last night.
