Lyon (WWLLW)

Listen, based off the odds shown, most people have the same type of idea about this match, so I’m gonna be a bit succinct. In Ligue 1 Lyon didn’t play great football, finishing in 7th and 28 points behind first place and Finals bound PSG. The attack was top three in the country while the defense wasn’t bad, they just couldn’t score when it was necessary and piled it on when it wasn’t. Obviously the team has done well in international competition, making it to the Champions League semifinals on the back of some very solid attacking. Memphis Depay and Moussa Dembele will play large parts in the upcoming match with a herculean effort needed from the back three and keeper.

Bayern Munich (WWWWW)

Bayern have proven themselves as the best team in the world. Period, end of sentence. There’s no arguing after what they did to Barcelona. This is the best team in the world. Every player serves a purpose and acts upon it with precision. Robert Lewandowski is a top five footballer in the world and Thomas Müller isn’t very far behind after his great campaign, making the attack one of the most deadly in the world based on those two alone. Then we add Gnabry and Kingsley Koman on the wings and Davies and Kimmich at full back, oh, and, by the way, Benjamin Pavard may be back for Wednesday’s match. All that fails to mention the very dependable defense that preys on the tired legs of attackers. This team is a juggernaut.

Analysis and Pick

Don’t bet Lyon. The payoff is good but you’ll lose your money. So just don’t. As a matter of fact, just avoid the moneylines. Nothing profitable will happen which means there’s no real opportunities to be had. What I do recommend is betting the over. Bayern scored eight times against one of the best keepers in the world last week and Lyon put three past Manchester City. Both of these teams have very good attacks and even if Lyon are shut down I expect Bayern to score four times anyways. I also suggest taking a look at Bayern to cover the spread. It’s at an even number which makes it a bit more unappealing but considering their hot streak I do expect them to make it a noncontest.
