As a Chicago based company, we’re always fired up any time one of our teams is prime time for Sunday night! It’s the Cubs and Cardinals from beautiful Busch Stadium in a rubber match. Let’s dive into our staff’s best bets so you can join us in having skin in the game for SNB!

Trent’s Analysis & Best Bet

When these two divisional foes meet up in prime time it’s always a fun game. The Cubs are 3.0 games back in the division and can shrink that to 2.0 if they win the rubber match tonight. Zach Davies heads to the hill for Chicago and the Cards have hit him pretty well throughout his career. They slash .378/.424/.801 against the righty with Matt Carpenter leading the way at .480 with three homers and four doubles. As for Wainwright, he’s held the Cubbies to a respectable .208/.241/.208 slash line spanning 188 at-bats.

I’m taking the over on Cardinals runs at 4.5 (+100) for a cool two units tonight. As I’ve always said, the sticks come out on Sunday night and tonight should be no different. Paul Goldschmidt is 4-10 against Davies, Nolan Arendao is 5-16 with a bomb and two doubles, Harrison Bader is 3-3 with a longball, and even Yadier Molina is hitting .333 against him (7-21, 1 XBH). We’re getting America’s first baseman and one of, if not the best third baseman in the league in prime time with great numbers against the opposing starter. Plus, Davies away splits are not appetizing as he’s posted an 8.59 ERA, 2.25 WHIP, and issued 12 free passes over 14.2 innings of work in 2021. Hammer the over on the Cardinals team total with an even payout. Let’s get it tonight!

The Pick: Over 4.5 Cardinal runs (+100)
