Final Analysis & Best Bet
Tony La Russa will turn to Michael Kopech after Lucas Giolito was scratched with a cut on his finger. Kopech is 1-0 on the season with a 1.69 ERA and he’s punched out 17 hitters over 10.2 innings. The Rangers will send Kohei Arihara to the bump as they look to avoid the sweep. Arihara is a righty with a seven pitch arsenal and he’s 2-1 on the season with a 2.21 ERA and 0.93 WHIP.
I’m taking the White Sox money line (-175) for a unit today. They’re the far superior squad and it seems like things are really starting to take a turn for the better. The bats should be lively today on the southside – just check out this graph from Baseball Savant on Kohei Arihara:
Sorry that this isn’t the crazy in depth analysis that we’re usually used to but I’m nursing a little hangover yesterday after drinking a million beers in Texas. It’s true what they say – everything is bigger in Texas… including the hangovers. In all reality though, I know you all come here for the winners and I do believe the Sox get the dub today.
