Stanford +3 @ USC, 10:30 EST:
I think the AP was smoking crack when they ranked Stanford as the 23rd best team in the country! I’m serious though, do these writers even watch the games?! Or do they just look at the box scores? Either way Stanford’s game against NW last week was atrocious. The only reason they won the game, was due to NW only averaging 3.5 yards per play. Stanford is plain bad. However, USC is not much better. Unfortunately, USC QB JT Daniels is out for the year with a torn ACL. They are replacing him with a true freshman. Right now, the total is sitting right at 43. I know this is a low total, but I’m still taking the under in this game. The coaches of both teams are not going to throw the ball much with these young qb’s in the game. Expect a ton of running and a very, very, verryyy boring game! USC wins 10-13. Take Under 43!
Cal +13.5 @ Washington, 10:30 EST:
I’m not going to lie; this game probably won’t be a good watch either. Unfortunately, good betting games don’t necessarily mean fun games to watch. Good news is that both Cal and Wash come into this game off opening wins. Although both wins were off FCS opponents (side note, can we get rid of these pointless FCS games and just add a 2nd week to the CFB playoff??) Anyways, back to the task at hand. I like Washington to cover the number here. Cal barely beat their FCS opponent Cal Davis last week. Also, this is a big revenge spot for Washington. They lost straight up to Cal last year when they were again a 2-touchdown favorite. Washington this year replaces Jake Browning with Jacob Eason who I like a lot more. The huskies have a much better home field advantage than people give them credit for. Look for Washington to go up early and then step on the throats of Cal in this revenge spot. Take Washington -13.5!
