It’s been a boring life without sports. Sure, they’re putting older games on TV, but it’s not the same as watching what the rest of the 2020 NBA season had in store. However, the NBA has come up with a temporary solution: an NBA 2k players only tournament. 16 current NBA players will square off against one other. The winner will get to select a charity of their choice to receive $100,000 in support of coronavirus relief efforts. The tournament will start on Friday, and go until the finals on April 11th. NBA fans will be able to catch all the excitement on ESPN and ESPN 2.
The bracket was based off of players overall ratings in the game. G Zach LaVine will represent the Bulls. His first matchup will be against DeAndre Ayton of the Phoenix Suns.
Sports fans will finally have something to look forward to in the midst of the madness. Even if it’s virtual, this tournament will be a unique experience for both the players and the fans.
